Use of Model Verb

MODEL VERB 

CAN   

"Can" is used to express ability.

Subject+can+verb (1st form)+ object

  1. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it  can operate machines.
  2. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can drive a forklift.
  3. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can operate dishwasher.
  4. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can install window.
  5. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can communicate with people very well.
  6. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can play cricket very well .
  7. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can fry eggs.
  8. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can sing a song
  9. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can play guitar.
  10. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it can beat a wrestler.

COULD

could is used to express past ability.

Subject+could+verb (1st form)+ object

  1. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could win the match yesterday.
  2. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could handle the situation very easily.
  3. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could believe compete.
  4. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could restart education.
  5. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could rejoin institute of  English language.
  6. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could help poor people.
  7. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could travel around the world.
  8. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could compromise.
  9. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could concede.
  10. I/you/we/they/He/she/somebody/it could conclude.

MAY

"may" is used for asking permission.

May+subject +verb (1st form)+ object ?


  1. May i go to the conference.
  2. May i have a tea? 
  3. May i leave this place?
  4. May he ride your bike?
  5. May he use your mobile?
  6. May they play cricket in this ground? 
  7. May they celebrate a big party in college cafeteria?
  8. May they take his class?
  9. May she converse with them?
  10. May she drive a car?

MIGHT

"might" is used to express present possiblity.

subject+ +verb (1st form)+ object ?
